ACCOMMODATIONS
Accommodations for four in a Herreshoff Style interior with varnished mahogany trim on white flat panels with a varnished teak and holly sole. There is an abundance of natural light and ventilation with nine fixed ports, two large hatches, and two dorades. There is ample artificial lighting with reading lamps at each berth and other lighting in way of the galley and head.
Starting forward is the private stateroom with V-berth with filler. Above the berth the hull is lined with varnished “ceilings” while below the berth there is storage in drop face lockers. At the forward bulkhead there is a vented mahogany door that accesses the anchor locker which is also fitted with shelves for stowage of miscellaneous gear that is not moisture sensitive.
Aft and to port is the Head which features a manual W.C. plumbed via a Y-valve to the holding tank. At the fwd bulkhead is a stainless steel sink with H&C pressure water on a “telephone” style fixture to facilitate showering, drainage for which runs to a separate sump with electric pump out. Storage in lockers outboard. The waste system was overhauled recently with all new hoses and marine W.C., Y-valve, etc.
Next aft is the full width Main Salon which features pull out port and starboard transom berths/settees. There is storage below both berths in drop face lockers, behind the seat backs in large drop face lockers, and above the berths in deep full length shelves. Dining is from a varnished mahogany table that conveniently stows against the forward bulkhead when not in use. At the forward port bulkhead there are two book shelves. Forward of the starboard berth are two large hanging lockers.
The Galley is split P&S either side of the companion way and is fitted with a gimballed alcohol three burner stainless steel stove with oven, large ice box fitted with an Adler Barber refrigeration system, a stainless steel sink with H&C pressure water, and ample counter space and storage. Chelsea brass ship's clock and barometer on forward bulkhead.
SAILS & RIGGING
Deck stepped single spreader, aluminum mast with spruce spreaders. The boom and all winches except the secondaries have been replaced. As part of the 2016 re-fit of new mainsail and genoa, a professional rigger inspected all of the standing rigging and found no defects.

MECHANICAL
Yanmar 3GM30F diesel was installed before current owner and turns a 3 blade Max Prop on a J shaft through a 2.1 Kanzel reduction gear. The standard instrument panel for this engine does not include an hour meter. As the boat has been lightly used as a day sailor the owner estimates that he put 20 hours or less on each season.

HULL & DECK
Solid fiberglass hull and deck with Awlgrip finish on both hull and decks. The decks and house were stripped of all hardware and miscellaneous brightwork, gel coat sanded down and then refinished with Moondust Awlgrip with non-skid in the walk way areas. Hardware was then re-bedded.
To ensure that the hull is solid and has not developed any osmatic blisters in the fiberglass, on the 50th anniversary of the layup of the hull in 2017, the bottom was stripped bare below the waterline in. The hand laid fiberglass was in perfect condition with no evidence of blisters. The hull was then given several coats of Interlux hard epoxy barrier coat. This was followed up with several coats of Interlux blue ablative bottom paint and then several coats of Interlux black ablative bottom paint.
Expansive cockpit with Edsen Pedestal steering and stainless steel binnacle guard. Plenty of space for a large sailing party if one desires. Large salt/gear lockers port and starboard, additional gear may be stored in the lazarette aft. Winch pockets P&S. Wide side decks with Awlgrip nonskid lead fore and aft. Stainless steel bow and stern rail and stanchions with single lifelines with gate on starboard. Teak trim including toe rails, cockpit, coamings, brow on the house, and dorade boxes are all in excellent condition.

The Hinckley Pilot 35 has had extensive upgrading over the course of its existence as follows:
Mast and boom Awlgripped, hull, decks and house Awlgripped, all new winches except the secondaries, new main, new jib,new standing rigging ,new running rigging, new engine, electronics, new bilge and sump pumps, new head and waste hoses, new water heater, new travelers, new hatch covers and much more. The exact dates of these changes are undetermined as these upgrades span the life of the vessel.
