Recent Updates

New AIMAR B275CLHW Wide Beam CHIRP Bronze ThruHull Transducer.

New SIMRAD NSS 7 Evo3 plotter/sounder & installed current Navionic+  Mexican charts.

SIMRAD AP44 autopilot with 2 control stations (one in wheelhouse, one on  flybridge)

Installed momentary up & down switches for windlass on the front deck. Installed Soundown Sound-Stop acoustic foam in the engine compartment.

Removed old bottom paint down to fiberglass, sanded, repaired all  blistered & epoxied bottom (4 coats). New bottom paint in April 2023.

Wired numerous 12v outlets on the boat including flybridge, installed new radio on flybridge + new antenna.

Installed cell phone booster weBoost Great Loop marine. Installed a Poynting OMNI-400  High Gain LTE Marine Antenna that is not only lighter that the one vessel came with, but can do double  duty as an antenna for a wifi booster. However, for people wanting to use  the original, both antennas come with the boat.

Installed 2 solar ready outlets for rail mounted and/or portable solar panels  (these are located on the flybridge). These are good for up to 500 watts  worth of solar panels. Can be upgraded for more by upgrading the 30  amp breaker and 10g wire from that breaker to a 50 amp breaker and 6 or  8 gauge wire from there to the battery (this is fairly accessible and could  easily be done, but all the lights have been replaced with LEDs so the boat  doesn't use much power and there is a 130 watt panel with it's own  controller that is permanently installed so we found that a 200 watt  portable solar suitcase was more than enough to run everything and keep  us topped up). Also installed a shutoff switch between the fixed solar  panel and the controller.

Installed 3 SIRROCO fans

New custom spliced dock lines

New prop shaft, packing box hose & cutlass bearings. Propeller balanced  & shaft repacked in April 2023.

Installed new engine compartment sound barrier insulation.

New solar controller & isolation switch for 130 watt panel mounted on  front.

All portable fire extinguishers were replaced. Fixed automatic unit inspected,  serviced and re-certified.

New ISOTHERM 2013-SX Compact refrigeration compressor & controller for built in top loading fridge/freezer.

Added SWITLIK 6 PERSON Offshore LIFE RAFT (VALISE model).  Repacked & inspected July 2021.

Installed new alternator (the same model as the 90 amp) and kept the  removed working old one as spare. Put new alternator brushes in the spares  kit.

Installed new fan belt for trip down and then replaced again in May 2023.

Installed a new raw water pump.

Installed new hoses on fuel fills.

Suzuki 2.5 engine for dinghy. Installed new carburetor and fuel shutoff on  Suzuki 2.5. Engine serviced May 2023 (new impeller, plug, etc).

Repaired and replaced leaky valves on Achilles inflatable dinghy.

Rebuilt leaking lower hydraulic steering pump. 2 rebuild kits added to  spares.

Replaced leaking hydraulic cylinder on steering with new cylinder and  installed new hydraulic lines.

Replaced float switches on bilge pumps.

Replaced outdated flares (old ones kept as practice flares)

Bubble tested Perkins injectors (done by Perkins mechanic at S & W  Diesel in Wilmington, California prior to bringing south. All a-okay.

Replaced 44 lb Lewmar Claw anchor with Sarca Excel #5 (48.5#). Old  anchor was kept as a spare. There is also a smaller  Danforth and rode in the aft lazarette that is used as a stern anchor. Also  added a spare anchor rode (stored underneath the galley).

Added comprehensive spares inventory for engine, alternator & steering  pumps.

Restocked and listed spare parts.

Restored & cleaned up 12v bonding wires (several of these were corroded  and no longer bonding).

Removed loose lead ballast.

Flopperstoppers (Stabilizers). There are 3 flopper stoppers for use while anchoring. One (the Magma) mounts off the boom and the 2 Swi-Tec ones get hung off the bow and stern (this makes life at anchor much nicer).
