The 12.8 offers an excellent cruising interior and cockpit in a boat that sails well, is easily handled and is built for offshore. This low profile, center cockpit design offers two large staterooms with heads , a terrific galley and one of the most comfortable cockpits and interior arrangements for extended cruising.
Forward is a chain locker, followed by the forwrd cabin with v-berth and filler piece, opening hatch overhead, storage below the berth and lockers/shelving/hanging locker.
Next aft is a head to port with shower, access from both main salon and fore cabin. There is a hanging locker opposite the head to starboard.
The main salon is bright and airy and the entire boat is well ventilated with opening ports, 5 overhead hatches with screens and a companionway. There is an L-shaped settee to port(pulls out to make a double) , cabinetry outboard, storage below. There is a straight settee to starboard , cabinetry and built in bar outboard, storage below , drop-leaf centerline dining table with built in storage. Teak and holly cabin sole.
Aft to port is the very large, U-shaped galley with large top loading and front loading refrigeration, HilleRange 3-burner propane stove with oven, lots of storage, double s/s sink, hot and cold pressure water. Additional freezer space is located in the walk thru to aft cabin.
The forward facing Nav station is to starboard of the companionway. The freezer compartment is in the walk thru to aft cabin, with the engine room inboard and on center. The engine room , located below the cockpit ahs very good sound insulation and the equipment is easily serviced.
The aft cabin is reached either via walk thru or via companionway from the cockpit and features a large double berth with filler. There is a spacious head with shower.
