1989 Beneteau First 35S5

Sidney, British Columbia

$45,462

The Beneteau First 35S5 definitely was an innovative design for that time, being introduced at the tail end of the IOR racing designs, this allowed for a much better design for safer and more comfortable sailing. The interior, designed by Philippe Starck, broke barriers with a more contemporary European finish with rounded doors and counters, metal trim and dark Mahogany joinery.

"Prime" is a fine example of the 35S5, that has been loved and well maintained by the 3rd owner for the last 12 years. Prime has a great inventory of cruising and performance sails which include Dacron, Laminate and 3Di. please refer to the complete listing for details. All standing and running rigging is in excellent condition as well. This boat is owned by sailors and it shows. The vessel originally came with a tiller, but has been converted to a wheel and binnacle. She also features a newer dodger, bimini and all canvas covers.

The bottom is in excellent condition: in 2013 the hull, keel and rudder were stripped of existing paint and was faired and painted with 2 coats of Interprotect, plus sprayed with 5 coats of Baltoplate hard bottom paint. Since then the boat is hauled once or twice a year and cleaned and burnished.

Vessel is located on our sales docks in Port Sidney Marina
