Dyer 29 number 292 is one of the very popular HARD TOP models that has been owned by a very conscientious owner who maintained the boat in excellent condition. The custom "Dark Green" hull is beautiful and the exterior varnish shines beautifully when not covered by the canvas covers. All the canvas is in great condition. Additional canvas acts as a full enclosure for all season use and a bimini to cover the cockpit area. Canvas also covers the teak deck in the helm station when not in use. The well-maintained Volvo engine has been regularly serviced and shows a little over 2000 hours. The custom-made cockpit bench allows easy access to the stern cleats, or you can lift up the side wings and have a place for your cocktails or treats.

Daybreak is a perfect little cruiser for a couple. The current owner uses it for fishing regularly. The Dyer 29 is a great boat for day trips, cocktail cruises, or weekend retreats. Call for more information

General Information

This Dark Green Hull with a hard top Dyer 29 is one of the most popular small cruising yachts for a couple to own, cruise, do day trips, and entertain on an afternoon or evening sunset adventure. The current owner loves to head out into the Chesapeake Bay when the fish are running and bring home (or release) the days' catch. The accommodations below are large enough to be comfortable with a vee berth, galley, and private head. This Hard Top model can be fully enclosed and provides solid handholds for going forward and aft. The engine is dropped down in the hull to allow easy access to the companionway from the cockpit area unlike many Dyer 29's. Diligently maintained by the current owner the engine is in excellent condition. It Starts right up with minimum smoke and at WOT turns rpms and hit a speed around 18.5 knots. Running at 3000 rpm's, the boat averages around 3.5 - 4 gph. of diesel so it is very economical.

Special Features

Lowered Engine mounting: The standard Dyer 29 has a large engine box which impairs access to and from the cockpit especially around the helm station. On "DayBreak" the engine was lowered and she now has very comfortable new chairs that are easy to get around and move forward and aft.

Custom designed cockpit bench which has extending side arms that can drop down to allow easy access to the stern cleats when docking.

Canvas Curtains with strata glass and covers for the Teak deck and hand rails on the hard top and cabin top.

Comfortable helm and companion seats that are easy to walk around.

Hard Top enclosed helm with low teak floor enhances the comfort and extends the season for enjoying the boat.

DRY and CLEAN Forward Cabin: The forward cabin is kept dry with stainless Steel ports that lock tight and a forward hatch with a solar vent to circulate air inside whenever the sun shines.

Galley Features: Alder Barbour Refrigerator, Alcohol stove top, storage area, single faucet sink, cutting board.

Additional Convenient Accomodations: Vetus Bow thruster and Windlass
