Vessel History

 

     First Owners - 1989 - 2013

  • Engineer; took boat to Caribbean at least once
  • Built his own wind generator; had water maker and solar
  • Had Westerbeke 46 w/ 5,600 +hrs
  • Sold boat in FL

     Second Owners - 2013 - 2021

     2013, after purchase

  • Boat needed a lot of work and cleaning
  • Removed water maker, and solar panels
  • Maintained boat with an "open check book"
  • New electronics:
    • Raymarine 6001 A/P with under deck linear drive, E-series 10" plotter at the helm
    • 24 "Raymarine radar on pole with gimbal mount

  • New Leisure Furl roller boom with Doyle full battened main. Used only 8 times in 8 yrs.

  • Boat was out of the water most of the year for repairs
  • New Raritan PHII head and macerator pump
  • New Seafrost frig installed
  • Yard neglected to remove the garboard plug upon winterization & boat filled with water to just below cabin sole. Insurance claim paid $92K to install:
    • New Nanni 50hp diesel engine, wiring, cleaning and painting of entire engine compartment, new sound-down in compartment, custom antiphon pipe, engine mounts, exhaust hose, Aqua Drive antivibration unit rebuilt, shaft refurbished, new cutlass bearing, max prop overhauled by PYl with larger blades to accommodate larger tranny, new dripless shaft seal, larger 120 amp Balmar alternator installed, new "Shark" line cutter installed, diesel fuel tank quantity gage installed, fuel "polished “and double filtered, new engine hoses installed, steel engine mounts cleaned and painted, installed new 1 " thru hull for engine raw water intake, upsized exhaust hose to 2 3/8" and exhaust tube on transom, installed new fuel fill and vent hoses, replaced galley sink drain thru hull, installed shaft brush to protect from galvanic corrosion
  • Entire cabin sole sanded, prepped and a new overlay of melamine ply with teak and holly sole glued down and satin varnished
  • Replaced cockpit and forward vanity drain thru-hulls

    Third Owner 2021 (sold for medical reasons)

  • New Kato davits
  • New VHF remote mike installed at the helm

Accommodations

     Sleeps 6 in a comfortable three cabin layout with spacious berths. The V-berth has an ensuite sink and vanity and the aft double berth cabin has its own private access to the head and shower. The main salon has a settee berth to starboard. Both settees have navy ultra-leather cushions.

     Throughout the boat you find varnished teak and holly cabin sole, exquisite teak joinery, rich teak cabinets and panel doors with custom teak headers over the doors. Beautifully handcrafted bookshelves are blended with elegant interior furnishings throughout. The main bulkhead has a teak bookshelf and a brass Chelsea clock with ship's bell and barometer. Drawers, shelves and ample hanging lockers are provided for clothing and provision storage.

     Excellent ventilation and light come from 9 Lewmar hatches and 12 Beckson opening ports, all with screens. Fixed ports have been upgraded with clear laminated safety glass. Four SS Dorade vents with vent covers and numerous cabin fans keep air moving and the crew comfortable.

     The roomy galley is to port and includes all the equipment and conveniences as well as generous counter space.

Opposite the galley, the aft facing Nav Station includes a large opening desk, drawers and navigation electronics with easy access to the electrical distribution panel. 

Next aft to starboard adjacent to the companionway is the head with adjoining shower stall including a seat and wet locker for hanging foul weather gear.

     Access to the aft cabin is through the galley and the shower stall. The berth is very wide and features a deluxe custom made mattress. Excellent storage is provided by a hanging locker, drawers and cabinets.
