Descriptions
This is a classic 1976 Hatteras 46 sportsfisherman.
She has successfully fished the Gulf Coast for years and is known as a fish killing, tournament winning platform.
She is being offered as a project boat at a severely reduced price to make her attractive to someone who wants to put their own touch on the boat.
She is capable of being taken to your dock or yard to do the work.
Both Detroit 8V71s have 260 hours on them since rebuild and the TDEC generator is new.
She comes with all the usual items like a refrigerator, freezer, stove and microwave as well as a TV and an entertainment center.
You will have to provide the love and attention to put her all back together, pretty her up, and put new fishing electronics on her.
Boat is seriously for sale and owner will entertain all offers
Accommodations
Entering from the aft deck takes you to the oversized salon with the galley up configuration. To starboard is an L shaped settee and a large table. To port is the galley with a refrigerator, freezer, stove, sink. There is a TV hidden behind a cabinet door and an entertainment center hidden behind another cabinet door.
As is usual with most classic Hatteras, Vikings and Posts, there is an "attic" for storing towels and linens as you move down the steps to the hall.
To starboard in the hall you have a locker to starboard as well as a set of drawers and a cabinet underneath a pilot bunk.
To port is a double stateroom with another locker and an ensuite head and shower. The flooring in the head looks new and actually shines.
Heading back out and further forward brings you to the other head and shower to starboard. Moving further forward there is another locker to starboard and then a triple bunk room which is being used for storage of spare parts and railings. On top of all the other storage on the boat there is another set of drawers under the third bunk.
This is a great boat for you and your crew to go hit the weed-line with and then stay out overnight to do it again the next day.
You WILL catch fish.
Engines
Tranquility is powered by Detroit Diesel 8V71TIs rated at 435 horsepower apiece.
When I ran charter boats, these engines earned their reputation as workhorses that were easy to maintain.
Both engines have 260 hours on them since a major rebuild.
They sound great.
An included newer TDEC generator with a remote access panel also comes with the boat.
Mechanically this boat is ready to go.
Cosmetically she is waiting for your personal touch.
